Advanced Portrait Study Part B

Alex Portrait:

Right Side                                   Straight On                                     Left Side

GJ Portrait:

                                 Right Side

                      Straight On                                                      Left Side

Summary:

After doing this assignment, I do not agree with the theory "that a persons left side of their face shows more emotion that the right side of the face, and that viewers find the left side more aesthetically pleasing." I do not see any difference between how GJ looks on the left and right side of the face.

After taking photos from both the left and right side of the face, I feel like that both sides convey the same amount of emotion in Alex and GJ. The left side did not stand out to me. Both of the images in my opinion, looked very similar. I think that if you take a good picture for both sides, they will both be equal in emotional. Also, I did not think that the left side was more pleasing because I think that both the left and right were both the same in how pleasing it was.
